Concrete Pricing in Macomb & Oakland County

Our general pricing guidelines, published so you can budget before you call. Every project is still priced individually after a site visit — estimates are free.

How much does concrete cost per square foot in Macomb County, Michigan?

On larger projects of approximately 1,000 square feet or more, new broom-finish concrete installation generally ranges from $8–$11 per square foot, and removal and replacement of existing broom-finish concrete generally ranges from $9–$12 per square foot. Exposed aggregate generally runs $15–$20 per square foot and stamped concrete $20–$30 per square foot. Smaller projects are priced individually rather than strictly by square footage, and Cieslak Concrete Construction has a $2,500 minimum for concrete installation projects. These are general guidelines — final pricing depends on removal, excavation, base preparation, access, thickness, reinforcement and finish.

General concrete pricing ranges for projects of approximately 1,000 square feet or more
Concrete workTypical range (1,000+ sq. ft.)What it covers
New broom-finish concrete installation$8–$11 per sq. ft.New concrete placed where there is nothing to tear out — driveway additions, patios, walkways, slabs and shed pads.
Broom-finish concrete removal and replacement$9–$12 per sq. ft.Tear-out and disposal of the existing concrete, base correction, then replacement with a broom finish.
Exposed aggregate concrete$15–$20 per sq. ft.Decorative finish that washes back the surface paste to reveal the natural stone in the mix.
Stamped concrete$20–$30 per sq. ft.Patterned and colored finishes imitating stone, brick or slate. Colors, borders and detail work affect where you land in the range.
Minimum concrete installation project$2,500Applies to concrete installation projects regardless of square footage.

These are general pricing ranges for budgeting, not quotes. Every project is evaluated individually, and site conditions, access, preparation, thickness, reinforcement, finish, demolition and permit requirements all affect final pricing. Request a free estimate for an exact price on your project.

Why do smaller concrete projects cost more per square foot?

Smaller projects cost more per square foot because many project costs do not shrink with the job. Mobilization, equipment, forming, disposal, the concrete truck and the crew day cost close to the same whether the pour is 300 square feet or 1,200. That is why Cieslak Concrete prices projects under roughly 1,000 square feet individually instead of applying a square-foot rate, and why there is a $2,500 minimum for concrete installation projects.

What affects your final price

Two projects of the same size can price very differently. These are the factors we look at during the site visit:

  • Total project size
  • Removal and disposal requirements
  • Excavation requirements
  • Amount of base preparation needed
  • Site and backyard accessibility
  • Concrete thickness
  • Reinforcement requirements
  • Finish selection
  • Decorative colors, patterns or borders
  • Pump or buggy requirements
  • Steps, landings or other detailed forming
  • Permit requirements
  • Existing site conditions

How much does bollard installation cost?

Bollard installation pricing is determined by the size of the project and the specific installation requirements. Because bollard specifications, quantities, footing requirements, site conditions and project scopes can vary significantly, Cieslak Concrete Construction LLC prices bollard installation projects individually. Send drawings, specifications, bollard quantities, site information or a scope of work and we will price it accurately.

Bollard pricing depends on the scope, not a per-post rate. These are the requirements we price against:

  • Number of bollards
  • Bollard type and specifications
  • Required diameter, height and embedment depth
  • Footing size and concrete requirements
  • Crash-rated vs. standard protective bollards
  • Excavation and drilling requirements
  • Existing concrete or asphalt removal
  • Site accessibility
  • Equipment requirements
  • Concrete filling requirements
  • Disposal requirements
  • Layout and spacing requirements
  • Installation conditions
  • Labor-only vs. complete installation scope

General contractors and commercial customers can send drawings, specifications, bollard quantities, site information or a scope of work to cieslakconcreteconstruction@gmail.com for accurate pricing. See commercial concrete for the full scope of work we handle.

Concrete pricing questions

How much does a concrete driveway cost in Macomb County?

For driveways around 1,000 square feet or larger, new broom-finish concrete generally runs $8–$11 per square foot, and removing and replacing an existing broom-finish driveway generally runs $9–$12 per square foot. A typical two-car driveway often falls in that size range, so a removal-and-replacement driveway commonly lands in the low-to-mid five figures depending on square footage. Subgrade correction, drainage work, apron and approach requirements, thickness and reinforcement move the final number. Smaller driveway additions are priced individually, with a $2,500 project minimum.

How much does a concrete patio cost in Michigan?

Most residential patios are well under 1,000 square feet, so we price them individually rather than by a square-foot rate, with a $2,500 minimum for concrete installation projects. For budgeting, larger patios with a broom finish generally start around $8–$11 per square foot for new installation and $9–$12 per square foot when an old slab has to come out. Exposed aggregate generally runs $15–$20 per square foot and stamped concrete $20–$30 per square foot. Back yard access, excavation depth and whether a pump or buggy is needed to reach the space are the biggest swing factors on patios.

How much does stamped concrete cost?

Stamped concrete generally runs $20–$30 per square foot on projects of approximately 1,000 square feet or more. Where you land in that range depends on the pattern, the number of colors, borders and banding, and how much detailed forming the layout requires. Smaller stamped patios and entries are priced individually. Stamped is the most expensive finish we offer because of the pattern work, color, release agents, extra placement labor and sealing — the slab underneath is built the same way as any other pour.

How much does exposed aggregate concrete cost?

Exposed aggregate concrete generally runs $15–$20 per square foot on projects of approximately 1,000 square feet or more, which puts it between a broom finish and stamped concrete. The aggregate selected, the depth of the wash and the amount of edge and border detail affect the final price. Smaller exposed aggregate patios and walkways are priced individually, with a $2,500 project minimum.

How much does it cost to remove and replace a concrete driveway?

Removal and replacement with a broom finish generally runs $9–$12 per square foot on projects of approximately 1,000 square feet or more — roughly a dollar more per square foot than new installation, because the existing concrete has to be broken out, loaded and hauled away before the base can be corrected. Heavily reinforced old slabs, thick pours, poor access and soft subgrade that needs extra correction push it toward the upper end.

Does Cieslak Concrete have a minimum project size?

Yes. There is a $2,500 minimum for concrete installation projects. Projects under roughly 1,000 square feet are quoted individually rather than by square foot, since the fixed costs of a pour — mobilization, forming, equipment, disposal and crew time — do not scale down with the size of the slab.

Are these prices a quote?

No. They are general budgeting ranges published so you can plan. Final pricing comes from a site visit, where we look at access, grade, drainage, what has to be removed and how much base work the site needs. Estimates are free and written, with the scope spelled out.

What do you need to quote a bollard project?

Project drawings, specifications or a scope of work, the bollard quantity and type, the required diameter, height and embedment, and site information such as surface type and access. With that we can price the footings, coring or excavation, removal and disposal, concrete fill and installation accurately. Labor-only scopes for general contractors supplying their own bollards are quoted the same way.

Do you install crash-rated bollards?

Bollard scopes are priced and built to the specification provided. Crash-rated and security-rated bollards carry different footing, embedment and concrete requirements than standard protective posts, so the specification has to come with the project drawings. Send the spec with your scope and we will price the installation to it.
