Residential concrete
Residential Concrete in Macomb & Oakland County
Driveways, patios, walks, steps, shed pads and garage floors for homeowners — owner-operated, insured, with curing, sealing, restoration and cleanup included.
Cieslak Concrete Construction LLC is a local, owner-operated and insured residential concrete contractor based in Utica, Michigan. We install and replace driveways, patios, walkways, sidewalks, steps and landings, shed pads, garage floors and decorative concrete for homeowners throughout Macomb County and Oakland County. Every residential job includes Silencure SRT curing compound, a penetrating sealer, restoration of the areas we disturb and a full cleanup.
Most of what we do is residential concrete, and the homeowner is usually dealing directly with Brandon from the first phone call through the final walkthrough. That means the person quoting the work is the person accountable for it.
The build is the same regardless of which surface you are replacing: remove and haul away what is there, correct the subgrade, install and compact an aggregate base, form to a grade that moves water away from the house, place the concrete at the right thickness with reinforcement where the use calls for it, then finish, joint, cure and seal it.
What separates a good residential job from a cheap one is usually the parts you cannot see afterward — base depth, compaction, drainage and joint layout — plus what happens after the pour. Curing compound, sealer, lawn and soil restoration and a clean site are included on our residential work, not billed as extras.

What homeowners should expect
A real site visit before pricing
We look at access, existing grade, drainage and the condition of what is there now before quoting. Site conditions are usually what decide the price, so quoting without seeing them leads to change orders later.
A written estimate you can compare
The estimate spells out the scope — removal, base, thickness, reinforcement, finish, curing, sealing and restoration — so you can compare it line by line against other bids instead of comparing totals.
Protection for your property
Materials are staged sensibly, debris is controlled during the work, and the areas we disturb getting equipment in and out are graded and repaired before we call the job finished.
Clear answers on curing and use
At the walkthrough you get specific timing for foot traffic and vehicles, plus how to care for the new concrete through its first winter — including going easy on de-icing salt.
What it costs
New broom-finish concrete
$8–$11 per sq. ft.
Typical pricing for projects of approximately 1,000 sq. ft. or more. Smaller projects are priced individually, and there is a $2,500 minimum for concrete installation projects. New concrete placed where there is nothing to tear out — driveway additions, patios, walkways, slabs and shed pads.
This is a general budgeting range, not a quote. Removal, excavation, base preparation, access, thickness, reinforcement and finish all affect the final price.
